Civic pride woman honoured

A WOMAN who has worked behind the scenes on Lanarkshire’s civic pride campaign was honoured recently.

Karen Lambie, campaign coordinator for Supercounty, received glowing praise from founder chairman Ian Livingstone and Gilbert Cox, and Karen was presented with a cake bearing the inscription “ten out of ten” - the title of a brochure she wrote early in her involvement with the campaign.

Mr Livingstone praised Karen’s conscientious contribution to Supercounty, which she joined in December 2002, coordinating such major events as the Supercounty Awards, Supercounty Supershow 
and the Schools Choir Festival. She also served as board secretary. minute secretary and financial controller.
