little Leon More may only be eight months old.

But our mini celebrity clearly knows how to handle the attentions of the paparazzi!

Leon was the winner of the News and Chronicle’s hugely popular Bonny Baby competition.

And he managed to replicate the winning smile that saw him pick up so many votes, as he and his proud mum and dad, Claire Bowie and Gavin More, were presented with their top prize – a specially made canvas-version of the winning photograph.– by News and Chronicle editor Jack Shennan.

Claire and Gavin, of Skye Drive in Ravenswood, Cumbernauld were thrilled when they learned their first-born was the top tot in our contest.

Former Cumbernauld High pupil Claire (30), who has just returned to work at the local job centre, said: “I couldn’t believe it when we got the phone call to say he had won.”

And gas engineer Gavin (33), who attended Our Lady’s High, added: “We were delighted.”

News and Chronicle editor Jack Shennan said: “Well done to Leon and his mum and dad. To have come top in our competition is no mean feat.

“Our thanks go to everyone who entered.

“Thanks also to Tiny Tots Photography, and to Cumbernauld Shopping Centre for giving us the space to hold the contest.”
