Library poised to hold exhibition

MEMBERS of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association Glasgow are scheduled to hold an exhibition, “Love For All, Hatred For None” in Cumbernauld Library.

The group claim that the purpose of the exhibition is to promote a better understanding of the peaceful teachings of Islam. On display will be copies of the Holy Qur’an translated into various languages, leaflets and books on Islam, and the status of women in Islam.

The exhibition seeks to provide members of the local community with an opportunity to learn more about the peaceful teachings contained within the Holy Qur’an and to view the various translations of the Qur’an in interesting languages and script.

There willl also be a variety of other books and literature which address some of the common misconceptions surrounding Islam.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has translated the Holy Quran into more than 70 languages. Founded in 1889 by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of India, the Community now spans over 190 countries with a membership in the tens of millions.

The event is scheduled to start on Monday, February 13.
