Community says goodbye to Kilsyth shoe repairer

FRIENDS and family recently paid their last respects to a popular Kilsyth shoe repairer who passed away at the age of 89.

A thanksgiving service was held in Kilsyth Burns and Old Church on Tuesday, November 20, in honour of Jim Mathieson.

Jim, who ran a shoe repair business in 3 Backbrae Street, died on Thursday, November 8, in Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
