Gregg goes back to school

Local MP Gregg McClymont went back to school this week and offered his support to Cumbernauld High students Rachael Stewart and Katie Watson who are leading the school's charity fundraising drive this year. One of the school's nominated charities is 'Help for Heroes' which provides direct, practical support to wounded, injured and sick Service personnel, veterans, and their families.

CUMBERNAULD High School’s fundraising drive has received support from a local politician.

MP Gregg McClymont offered his support to Cumbernauld High students Rachael Stewart and Katie Watson who are leading the school’s charity fundraising drive this year.

One of the school’s nominated charities is ‘Help for Heroes’ which provides direct, practical support to wounded, injured and sick service personnel, veterans, and their families.

Gregg said: “It was a real pleasure to visit my old school again and see the amount of work Rachael and Katie are doing to raise money for such a good cause.

“With charity football games, coffee mornings, a car wash and a sponsored climb of Ben Nevis among the long list of fundraising events they have planned, the girls will certainly be busy over the next

few months.

“I congratulate them on their efforts so far and am sure they will raise their target amount for Help for Heroes.
