A & R man, pop writer, modern culture commentator, poet – by gosh he even has his own album coming out – there are not many avenues the talented Kirkland Ciccone has left unexplored.
His last show at Cumbernauld Theatre (A Secret History of Cumbernauld) was a total sell-out winning him a mention on the Terry Wogan show, and he's already been signed up to do a spin-off (A Secret History of Falkirk) in Falkirk Town Hall in November.
And between all that, writing a new play, and recording a spoken word album he also has time to write for a plethora of publications including Subba Cultcha, This Is Fake DIY, and At Large Magazine.
But it is his latest show, In Bed with Kirkland Ciccone, which is getting the pop pickers of Cumbernauld excited at the moment.
Tickets are selling fast for this totally unique 'lecture' on the history of pop.
He'll be covering everything from little-documented 'facts' about the likes of Cliff Richard, Donny Osmond, and The Shangri-Las, to discussions on the likes of Boy George and Toyah, and of course, most crucially, he'll be explaining just WHY Betty Boo is one of the most underrated artists of all time.
