WITH Scots singer Dougie MacLean appearing in the New Town Hall this Saturday, the concert organisers have said they are pleased by the amount of interest shown.

Tickets have been selling fast and one fan even plans to come all the way from Cornwall to see Dougie play.

The man in Cornwall told organiser Ron McCambridge that he was planning to visit his daughter in Edinburgh and decided this was an opportunity to see one of his favourite musicians.

Some tickets (priced 13.50) for the concert, which opens its doors at 7.30pm, may still be available. Anyone wishing to book should phone Ron McCambridge on (01236) 611047 or 0793 9496538.

Dougie MacLean is perhaps best known in Scotland for his hit song Caledonia, but also created part of the musical score for The Last of the Mohicans and tours internationally extensively in Europe, America, Canada and Australasia.
