The grand-daddy of teaching ideas

NEW grandparents are being invited to attend a baby class at Wishaw General.

NHS Lanarkshire offer the class to support grandparents following the arrival of a new baby, and it will be held in the Parenthood Room, maternity scan department, floor 2 on Friday, September 7 from 10am to noon.

Topics which will be discussed include how maternity services have changed over the years, the use of baby products, breastfeeding, baby care and how grandparents can help.

Midwife Annette Cartwright, who takes the class, said: “This is an informal class which gives grandparents the chance to ask questions and find out how things have changed since they had their own children.

“Grandparents can be a huge help and support to new parents and we hope this class will help them understand the information that will be given to their families and the way in which maternity and baby care is delivered now.”

If you would like to attend the class or would like to find out more please contact Annette on 01698 366473.
