Work is due to begin on a new £200,000 playpark and games area in Seafar.

Located next to the new Cumbernauld Community Enterprise Centre, the new play facility is a joint venture involving WREN’s Scottish Action Fund, local group Play for Success and CultureNL Play Services.

Play For Success is a parents’ group which formed in 2012. Secretary Patricia Barjonas said: “We are very excited by the news that work will be starting soon and we would like to thank the funders and the local community for their continued support.”

Sophie Cade, WREN’s Grant Manager said, ‘We are delighted to be supporting the development at Cumbernauld Community Enterprise Centre and pleased that our funding will provide such a fantastic play space for young people across the area.”
