There are lots of great events for music lovers coming up at Airdrie Town Hall and Motherwell Concert Hall during August.

Popular Pink Floyd tribute MacFloyd are in Motherwell Concert Hall on August 3 with their Dark Side of the Moon 40 show celebrating the anniversary of their classic album.

On Friday, August 16, Lanarkshire’s own Hue and Cry take to the stage at Motherwell. Brothers Pat and Greg Kane released a string of ‘80s hits including ‘Labour of Love’.

Fans of more traditional Scottish music will be pleased to know that on August 17 Motherwell welcomes Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham. Aly and Phil have been filling venues for over 25 years.

On August 28 former Drifters stars Ben E King and Jimmy James present a showcase of 60’s soul and motown. Ben E King will perform such hits as Stand By Me, What Is Soul.
