CUMBERNAULD High School welcomed P6 pupils from its associated primary schools to a maths fun day.

Following an exciting morning of tower building, lateral thinking and mathematical relay running challenges, the winners of the Maths Shield were Carbrain Primary School.

The team members were Conor Clowes, Jade Dysart, Adam Laurie and Hannah Leeche.

The top performing team from Kildrum Primary were Chloe Fleming, Stephanie McKie, Andrew Oliphant and Ciaran Sweeney.

On the following Monday, the first years had their own fun day. Once again they were challenged in many mathematical ways and competition between the houses for the shield was fierce.

The overall winning House was Braemar, and the team members wereKyle Bagen, Emma Henderson, Calum McLaughlin, Rachel Steven, Leigh Valentine and Nicholas Walker.

The team from Argyll House were Robert Balmer, Emma Lavery, Lisa Lochhead, Sophie McGraw, Scott Munro and Darren Atley.

The team from Campsie House were Ryan Brown, Katie Delaney, Louise Hamilton, Blair Malcolm, Ben Masterton and Lucy Warner.
