RESIDENTS and business owners on Stirling Road are demanding action after suffering severe flooding for the second time in a year.

Firefighters who rushed to the scene were forced to pump away SEWAGE WATER from houses and industrial units.

The problem is said to stem from debris in the Ebroch Burn choking the drainage system.

Business owner Ronnie Docherty, whose industrial unit was swamped, said: “All the people here have paid rates for years – surely they deserve something back?”

Fed-up residents and fellow business owners agree with Ronnie, and have banded together to demand that action be taken to solve the problem now.
