FOLLOWING its success last year, C in the Park will be returning to Kilsyth again this Saturday. Last year’s event raised a substantial amount for Strathcarron Hospice, and organisers are hoping for a similar response this time around- with all proceeds going to Capability Scotland.
Event creator, John Montgomery said: “The creation of CITP was from a simple chat with my family after my mother passed away. We wanted to do something for the cracking care that she received. We decided, as a group, that the money this year would to Capability Scotland.”
Taking place at Colzium Estate, the non profit event provides something for the whole family.
This year’s attractions include; 29 different musical acts, dance troops, photo opportunities with your favourite Disney characters and a fun fair. There will also be hot food and bar facilities.
The fun continues into the night, when the Colzium House will be turned into a “rave” with two local DJs performing.
Volunteer, Cheryl Anderson added: “It has been fantastic to be a part of such an amazing event. I am really overwhelmed at the help and support that we’ve received, without it the event could not happen. I would personally like to say a massive thank you to everyone who is involved, helping or who have made donations.”
Entry into this year’s C in the Park is free.
