A 34-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with an attack on a pensioner in a house in the south of Glasgow.

A 76-year-old man was seriously injured at his home in Elliston Avenue, in the Pollok area of the city, last night (Tuesday, August 6).

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. His condition was desrribed as serious but stable.

Police say enquiries are continuing.
