THE children of Holy Cross Primary brought the sunshine indoors while raising money for Strathcarron Hospice.

The Croy school’s now annual Yellow Day allowed this happy bunch to come to school dressed in yellow, bringing donations for the charity.

Headteacher, Sandra Docherty said; “The children enjoy it and it also allows us to teach them about the importance of charity.

“Some of the children’s parents volunteer at the hospice, we have always had a good relationship with them.”

The school’s continued work has not gone unnoticed, and they have been invited along to a very special garden party.

Sandra explained; “We have been invited to a Royal Garden Party with the hospice. Princess Anne will be there. and we were invited due to the work that we do with them.”
