Scottish Sports Minister and local MSP Jamie Hepburn has spelled out that he would oppose moves to have the Open and Scottish Open held at Donald’s Trump’s golf courses in Aberdeenshire and Turnberry.

The Scottish Nationalist is reacting to Mr Trump’s comments favouring a ban on Muslims entering the United States.

Mr Hepburn added: “These remarks have no place in reasoned debate. Decisions on the venue are of course for the tour organisers but I am sure they will take Mr Trump’s comments into account.”
