VOLUNTEERS with Cumbernauld Audio News have launched an urgent appeal for help.

The organisation provides recordings of newspapers like your Cumbernauld News for blind and partially-sighted people.

But the group has been left devastated after flood damage turned their tiny studio into a no-go area and damaged a key piece of equipment beyond repair.

Chairman David Fraser said: “We have done everything we can to dry the place out.

“But the truth is we cannot stay here.”

Now locals are being asked to rally round.
