CUMBERNAULD Library will play host to an art exhibition which will be unveiled on Monday (September 5)
This will showcase 99 paintings which are the handiwork of Kildrum artist Tom McDonald.
Mr McDonald is well known to members of the Burngreen Art Club which meets in both Cumbernauld and Kilsyth. He has staged a number of exhibitions in this venue in the last few years.
As he draws inspiration from nature, Mr McDonald tends to concentrate on landscapes but on this occasion he has expanded his remit Mr McDonald told the News and Chronicle this week: “There is a real mix of paintings in this particular exhibition – pictures of trains, pictures of children, pictures of trains plus seascapes.’’
A catalogue has also been drawn up to allow local art lovers to make their selection from the impressive line-up.
Mr McDonald has stressed that a percentage of proceeds from his exhibition will be donated to the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity.
The exhibition is scheduled to run until Saturday, September 24.
