CUMBERNAULD’S very own silver lady marks a milestone in her existence.
For this week Arria celebrates one whole year overlooking the town and the busy A80.
The massive sculpture, constructed in 15 sections by artist Andy Scott, has courted her fair share of controversy - as well as the odd royal visitor.

Your News and Chronicle has a special feature on Arria, including the views of everyone from the talented sculptor who brought her into being to the ordinary man and woman in the street.
It’s all in your favourite local paper - out now.
