CUMBERNAULD is set to play host to a loyalist march on Saturday (October 1) – in what is believed to be the biggest ever held in the town.
A total of 22 bands across Scotland and Northern Ireland willl muster at New Town Hall to start the march at noon, which could see 800 visitors to the town.
They will walk in a three- mile circular route then back to the venue, in a bid to drum up cash for Scottish children’s charity CHAS.
Robert McRae of organisers the Heirs of Cromwell flute band said: “This is going to be the biggest march Cumbernauld has ever seen.”
