Liz Paterson, a cook at the Cumbernauld Village Care Home, was due to to shave off her locks on Wednesday in a loving show of solidarity with her sister. Anne, and is also raising cash for Breast Cancer Care.

She’s determined not to let Anne go through the trauma of gruelling treatment on her own.

Liz said: “Despite everything she’s been through the only time she has cried was when I told her I was going to shave off my hair to be with her and for charity.”
