HARDY dog owners who braved sopping wet weather at a sponsored charity event in September have raised £460 for Strathcarron Hospice.

They brought their pooches out to the Bark in the Park event which was organised by Friends of Cumbernauld Community Park.

This was supported by North Lanarkshire Council and Trophy Pet Foods - and was the first event of its kind in the town.
