The Scottish Conservatives have succeeded in their aim to place a candidate in every local ward for the upcoming council elections.
One candidate is retired architect David Stark who will represent his home turf of Abronhill in the Cumbernauld East ward.
However, the party has had to cast its net wider in its quest to find candidates for the other remaining wards.
Its chosen candidate for Cumbernauld North is Calum Currie who hails from Wishaw.
Bothwell man Colin Gibson will fight in the Cumbernauld South seat.
Meanwhile the party has also made it choice for Kilsyth - a bit closer to home.
The seat will be fought by Paul Anderson of Easter Auchinloch Farm in Kirkintilloch.
