Lanarkshire families are counting down the days to the Get Active Lanarkshire free family fun day on Saturday, June 1.
Strathclyde Country Park will host a vast activity area which will give visitors the chance to try out activities which they may have always wanted to try but haven’t had the opportunity.
Activity opportunities on the day will include a skate park, a climbing wall, trampolines, canoeing, kayaking, golf, rugby, basketball, football, slides and walking.
Get Active Lanarkshire is part of a Commonwealth Games legacy initiative, which aims to encourage Lanarkshire residents to get more active more often by increasing their physical activity in the run up to and beyond the Commonwealth Games in 2014.
The Get Active Lanarkshire fun day will take place from noon to 5pm.
