A free community day for all the family will be held in Cumbernauld New Town hall on Saturday between 10am and 2pm.
Mayfayre 13, which has been organised by Keep Calm Events, a team of students from Cumbernauld College, will offer a whole host of activities to keep everyone entertained including a funfair, bouncy castle, stalls, tombola, kid’s craft corner and a tearoom with home-baking.
For fitness fanatics, or people looking for a challenge, a 5k will be held in the nearby Tryst Centre, starting at noon.
The organisers Kirsty Murray, Tracey Morrison and Demi McWatt were keen to host an event for the whole community.
A spokesperson for the group said: “Mayfayre 13 is going to be a great event and we are really hoping that the local community will come out and support the day.”
The day will also raise funds for the Prince’s Trust, which runs programmes in the East Dunbartonshire and Cumbernauld campuses.
