MSP Jamie Hepburn is encouraging local groups to apply for funding from the ScotRail Foundation, which will distribute £100,000 of grants to help communities across Scotland.
The ScotRail Foundation will distribute grants to groups that support children and young people, or improve the environment and general health of communities.
Applications will be considered by three regional committees, consisting of ScotRail staff, twice a year and grants of between £250 and £5000 are available
The fund will be managed on ScotRail’s behalf by the independent charity Foundation Scotland.
Mr Hepburn said: “I am delighted that the ScotRail Foundation have made this funding available and would strongly encourage any relevant groups in Cumbernauld and Kilsyth to apply.
“Funding such as this can be vital in supporting community groups in the great work that they do.”
