Giffnock wing commander marks Dutch day

Giffnock resident, Wing Commander Allan Steele, WS, RAF (pictured) represented the United Kingdom Armed Forces at the Dutch National Liberation Day, on May 4.

Allan laid a wreath at the Commonwealth War Grave in Brunssum, where he joined Air Marshal Graham Stacey, CB, MBE, RAF (representing NATO), the local mayor and an estimated 700 people who gathered to show their respect to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to liberate Europe.
