GOLFERS from far and wide came together for the annual Craighalbert Golf Classic and helped raise more than £5000 for the charity.

Football pundit Alan Rough once again joined the centre’s director Pat Salter in the Craighalbert team.

A fantastic final total of £5010 was raised at the event.

Administration officer Anne Taylor said: “We are very grateful to all the teams who participated and congratulations go to the winning team from Circle Insurance Services.”

She added: “Thanks also go to Dullatur Golf Club for their continued support in making this event such a success.”

Meanwhile, preparations are already well under way for the centre’s next big fundraiser.

Musical group Brats and Callets, featuring singers from various choirs, are scheduled to perform at the Craighalbert Centre, on Sunday, October 9.

The event begins at 7.30pm and entry costs £5.
