THE new tenants and residents group formed by those living in Kirklands Crescent and Bogside Road met officially for the first time last week.

Members will work in partnership with North Lanarkshire Council, Strathclyde Police and other agencies which deliver services in the area.

They will report to the appropriate organisation on matters such as cleanliness, road issues and lighting problems, and will also identify repairs which need to be carried out in the area.

After a successful meeting, officers are firstly going to look at items such as the vegetation in the guttering, and are going to investigate the possibility of siting goalposts in Bogside Park to allow people to play football.
