An ambitious high profile charity drive will see local daredevils finally take to the skies in Perthshire this weekend.
Now You’re Talking which supports people with mental health problems is aiming to raise several thousand pounds via a charity skydive.
The group has secured corporate sponsorship from the Antonine Centre among others and has maintained a presence in the mall within the last week.
And this has raised the group’s profile as well as its funds.
David McArthur, charity organiser, said: “We have been given a lot of tenners in our bucket from people and when I see how many people have supported us, I fill up. I feel that being here has helped make people aware that there is help out there for people who may be considering suicide. We want to make people aware that we can help them and the families of those who have experienced suicide,’’ he added.
David will do the skydive himself and among those joing them is Carbrain man Jason McKay (pictured) who is part of the Antonine Centre’s security team.
The jump itself will take place in Errol Airfield on Sunday after a day’s training.
