MEMBERS of a woman’s guild had cause for celebration last week.

For Kilsyth Anderson Parish Church’s woman’s guild was celebrating it’s 65th anniversary.

A special supper and evening of entertainment was held in honour of the occasion with Kirkintilloch based singers Union Three Plus One performing.

Former Rev Jim Ross did an epilogue at the event to mark the group’s presence in the area since February 28, 1948.

Convenor of the guild Olivia Brittian said: “It was a good night, everybody had a good time.”

A presentation was given to the longest serving members Ann McLean and Mary Abercrombie, and members tucked into a delicious cake which was made by the group’s secretary Margaret Martin.
