A VERY successful summer holiday activities programme was recently held in Kilsyth.

The Seaside Rock programme, held from August 8-12 was organised by the Scripture Union of Scotland and run by 25 volunteers from Anderson, Burns and Old Parish, Chryston, and Rutherglen churches. Some 86 children of primary school registered - double the number from the previous year, and there were also family fun nights and two nights for teenagers. Volunteer Ann Allen said: “This was very successful, so look out for next year’s event.”
