MEMBERS of the RAFA Cumbernauld branch 1355 and the 2496 Squadron Cumbernauld Air Training Corps raised £1290 by holding a bag pack in Asda in the town centre on Saturday.

An award was also presented to a member of the organisation to recognise their success in the Wings Appeal, which supports serving and ex-RAF personnel and their families.

The squadron and personnel cup shield was presented to sergeant Andrew Motherwell of Cumbernauld Squadron ATC for collecting the most money for the Wings Appeal.

Louis Bonner was also awarded with a runner-up cup for his collection efforts.

The RAF bear was also in-store at the event to make more people aware of the work the organisation carries out.
