Charity fund-raiser to thank wee Liam care staff

LITTLE Liam McCormick (above) will be the guest of honour at a charity day in Kilsyth Car Wash.

Liam celebrates his first birthday tomorrow (Thursday, March 17) and it’s been a tough year for the boy who was born seven weeks premature and weighing just 4lb 8oz.

He has already had two lifesaving heart operations performed by the staff at Yorkhill Hospital, where he stayed for eight months.

Liam’s parents, John McCormick and Karen McElroy, own Kilsyth Car Wash and as a thankyou to everyone at Yorkhill, Thursday will be dedicated to raising money for the hospital. The car wash will be open from 8am until 7pm with all proceeds donated to Yorkhill Hospital’s cardiology unit.
