Corporate awards

NORTH Lanarkshire Council announced the winners of the Corporate Awards 2012 in Motherwell recently.

The event, held on October 4, in the town’s Concert Hall, recognised outstanding individual projects which meet the key council priorities of health and wellbeing, environment, lifelong learning, regeneration and developing the organisation.

Winners included the Income Maximisation Project, the demolition of Glencairn Tower in Motherwell, the Money Advice, Consumer Advice project, Building for the Future, the Key Safe Retrieval Project and the Restorative Justice Community Payback Team.

Chief executive Gavin Whitefield, said: “The awards showcase the range of services available to residents, visitors and employers and highlight the dedication and depth of talent which our employees show when performing their duties. I am proud of the continued efforts and commitment of our workforce as they serve the people of North Lanarkshire to make it a better place to live and work in.”
