Council step in - but park may go

AFTER threatening homeowners with “enforcement action” North Lanarkshire Council has agreed to clean up a derelict Carrickstone playpark.

Following outcry from residents and their elected representatives, the council has now written to them to say it will clean up the park this time, but homeowners remain ultimately responsible for the land.
