Housing services at North Lanarkshire Council are on the way up
NORTH Lanarkshire Council has made improvements within its housing service according to an annual performance report.
The local authority says it is re-letting properties quicker; more of its housing stock is meeting the Scottish Housing Quality Standard and they are collecting more rent than before.
Councillor Sam Love, convener of housing and social work services, said: “We’re committed to delivering first class housing services that are value for money and we’re pleased with the continuing improvement we’re making.
“At all times we strive to put our tenants and residents at the heart of our services.”
Copies of the annual performance report for 2011/12 are available within the First Stop Shops, local
housing offices or on the website at www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk
