ALL SMILES: Jodie and mum Tracey, with little Daniel.

ALL SMILES: Jodie and mum Tracey, with little Daniel.

A CUMBERNAULD girl has been chosen as ‘the face of the race’ after winning a top competition.

Jodie McNair (18) can now be seen on billboards and posters all across Glasgow to publicise the Ignis Asset Management Women’s 10k on behalf of Yorkhill Children’s Foundation.

The Maree Drive resident will be pulling on her running shoes and pounding the pavements on Sunday (May 8), along with her mum Tracey Ross, who now lives in Larbert.

Yorkhill Children’s Foundation has a special place in Jodie’s heart after the hospital proved to be a lifeline for her four-year-old brother Daniel who was born with a hole in his heart.
