Man in court over ‘robbery’.

POLICE have arrested a man in connection with a robbery that happened in Cumbernauld on Christmas eve.

The 67-year-old was apprehended after police attended an address in the Perth area on Saturday, January 12.

He has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal for the alleged robbery which occurred in the Spar shop in Abronhill as previously reported in the News and Chronicle.

He was expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday, January 14.
