Our kind of teacher

A CUMBERNAULD teacher has been gifted with a honour which recognises acts of kindness.

Bernadette Hunter, who is deputy headteacher at Cumbernauld Primary School, is the latest recipient of the Sconestone.

The popular teacher was given the Sconestone by a parent at the school who felt she had made a difference.

John Dick, whose daughter Lois is in P3, received the award for his work on a missionary trip to Zambia as part of Craighalbert Church.

He decided to give the award to Bernadette because he felt she had made such a huge difference to his daughter’s life and the school community.
