Silver again for Cumbernauld in Beautiful Scotland awards

CUMBERNAULD was awarded another Silver Award in yesterday’s Beautiful Scotland award ceremony, held in Motherwell.

Cumbernauld’s silver award was collected by Adam Smith of Cumbernauld Environmental Society, who commented: “The important thing is we have maintained the Silver Award level of achievement which isn’t an easy thing to do.

“We will receive our judging scoring sheets shortly which will allow us to see exactly what areas we need to work on and improve for next year as the work starts now to give us the best possible chance for Beautiful Scotland 2013.

“We thank all the local community groups who were involved in this year’s judging, and we will be acknowledging their invaluable input by hosting our own Awards Ceremony within the next few weeks”.
