Teenager attacked on way home

A GANG of youths attacked a 15-year-old boy after he made his way home from a game of football in Cumbernauld.

The victim had been playing football at Broadwood Stadium shortly before he was attacked at around 11pm on Friday, October 12.

He reached a play park at Old Tower Road where he spotted the four male suspects - aged 15 to 17 years old.

As he walked, someone grabbed hold of him, pushed him to the ground and he was attacked by the gang.

Police say the youngster was kicked about the head and body, and he had a few minor injuries.

The first suspect is described as wearing dark clothing and dark shoes while the second suspect had a navy blue top on with the hood up and he was wearing dark bottoms and white trainers on.

The first suspect has a similar description the second and the four attacker had on a dark top and grey bottoms and grey trainers.
