Woman mugged

A WOMAN had her handbag snatched whilst walking on a footbridge between Condorrat and Westfield.

The 51-year-old was approached by a young man at around 6.10pm on the footbridge on Monday, February 4.

He grabbed the woman’s handbag, which contained a two figure sum of cash, a mobile phone and personal cards, before making off in the Condorrat direction.

The suspect is described as 16 to 20 years old, and he was wearing a light coloured top.

Witnesses are urged to contact Cumbernauld Police Office on 01236 503 900.
