A leading retailer has announced it is opening up a home delivery depot in Cumbernauld, creating over 35 new job opportunities.
Dreams, who are known for selling beds, divans and bedroom furniture, will open up a depot in the Blairlinn Industrial Estate on Mid Road in Cumbernauld this month.
This will be the eighth Dreams delivery centre of its kind in the UK.
Tony Wingate, head of distribution at Dreams, said: “The Dreams depot not only creates career opportunities, but will immensely benefit our customer base in Scotland.
“All orders will be handles directly by our skilled and knowledgeable staff meaning delivery lead times will be reduced by up to five days, making the bed buying process as smooth and stress-free as possible.”
The depot will need staff to fill a wide range of positions at the new depot.
The company say they are looking to recruit drivers and office staff within assistant, supervisory and management positions.
The company also say that the newly appointed staff will receive two weeks intensive on-the-job and customer service training.
The company’s Cumbernauld operation is expected to open December 16.
