A FORMER Royal Mail worker who failed to deliver over 100 parcels has been ordered to perform 160 hours of unpaid work.

John Alexander Halligan, of 17 Midbarnood Road, Kilsyth, pled guilty to failing to perform his duties as a postman at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Wednesday, July 25.

The 32-year-old ex-postie accepted that he failed to deliver postal packages without reasonable excuse.
