IT may be a little late but here’s Cumbernauld News reporter Martin Dalziel finally handing over his cheque to Yorkhill Children’s Hospital after raising money in the Cumbernauld 10K.

After presenting the cheque to Yorkhill Children’s Foundations Alison Reade, Martin said: “The 10K was a great experience and it was a real challenge.

“However, when you think about some of the challenges the children and staff at Yorkhill face on a daily basis then it’s pale in comparison.

“A big thanks goes to all the staff at the News who donated and my friends and family for helping me raise this money.”

David Welch, from Yorkhill Children’s Foundation said: “We are really grateful to Martin for all his hard work and effort undertaken to run the Cumbernauld 10K.

“This money will go a long way to helping children requiring treatment and care at Yorkhill Hospital.”
