Cumbernauld High mathematics team has had success in the North Lanarkshire Enterprising Mathematics competition 2013.

The team of S4 pupils Fiona Devlin and Eve Walker, alongside S3 pupils Charlotte Stevenson and Muhsin Al-Doori fought off competition from all other 23 schools in North Lanarkshire to claim the coveted title.

The bright pupils had to complete five testing rounds of mathematical puzzles and problems culminating in the final exciting relay round.

They have now earned a place in the national finals which take place in Glasgow University in November.
