A father and son bus driving team who went beyond the call of duty to help Kilsyth pensioners have been hailed as a huge loss to the community after their route was contracted to a rival firm.

John and Craig Donnelly operated the 381 route up until two weeks ago when the contract was up for tender, and won by another bus company.

Devastated bus passengers, many of whom are pensioners, showered the Donnelly’s Buses family with gifts upon hearing the news.
