POLICE investigating the murder of teenager Leslie Berry in Kilsyth have made a fresh appeal for information.

The 19-year-old was found with fatal injuries in his Park Lane flat at approximately 12.45am on Sunday, August 7.

Officers confirmed that an ‘item’ was removed from a drain near to Leslie’s home during a meticulous search.

A spokesperson for Strathclyde Police said: “Enquiries are on going to establish if that was connected in any way to this incident.”

Police however refused to comment on a report in a national newspaper on Monday that Leslie was killed following an argument over cigarettes.
