SURROUNDED by 500 year old trees in a south-facing suntrap they call mini Majorca, luxury five bedroom bungalow Rannoch is up for rental after 24 years as a stunning family home.
Owners Ken and Margaret Kennedy are temporarily moving to an adjacent property that they built themselves with help from their architect son Scott.
Recruitment consultant Ken (57) said: “Our other son Greig is emigrating to Australia soon so the house is just too big for us but it’s a great place - it’s fantastic for entertaining. We’ve had dinner for 40 in our hall and have had some great parties in here.
Those have included pool parties too - as Rannoch is one of five Dullatur properties which caters for those who like a dip. “We joke that we have more pools here than Ramsay Street in Neighbours’ laughed Ken.
“The temperature can be 22 degrees in Cumbernauld but 30 up here,’’ he added.
Property of the Week is a new exciting feature that will be in the Cumbernauld News and Kilsyth Chronicle over the next few weeks.
